ABOUT US
We are Ewa and Jose Luis and together with our dogs we are ‘Winter Melody’. Our history is quite crazy,
we will try to explain it in a “few words”.
Ewa is Polish and has owned huskies since 1998 when she purchased her first husky female Nala z Andrzejowego
Ogrodu,
the following year 1999, Ewa registered her own kennel name, ‘Nitor Nivalis’
which in English
would be Snow Flash, with the Polish Kennel Club and the FCI.
    
In 2001 the first Nitor Nivalis litter was born, the mother was Nala and the father Fleiston Del Karraces.
Soon 3 more husky
girls joined Ewa’s kennel they were Chocolat Negresss Nitor Nivalis (Tajga – Nala’s daughter) Naomi Princess Ksiazeta Polnocy and Evening Shine Nitor Nivalis.
They were joined by a Bouvier des Flandres girl called Czarna Szekla Fauna Chucho.
    
In the years that followed 7 Siberian and 2 Bouvier litters were born in Nitor Nivalis kennel. The most famous dogs from these litters are: ALASKA Nitor Nivalis, BPISS, BJIS, Ch PL, Jr. Ch. Pl. Evening Shine Nitor Nivalis; Ch. PL, Jr Ch PL Dakota Nike’s Nitor Nivalis; Ch LV,LT Jr Ch LV,LT BJIS Thunderstorm Nitor Nivalis; Ch.BL Treasure Hunt Nitor Nivalis and German Ch, Jr Ch Teddy Bear Nitor Nivalis.
We would like to thank all owners of Nitor Nivalis dogs for the good care and love they give them.
Later, in 2005, following long research, a wonderful boy, Winterfrost’s Pegaso, arrived at Nitor Nivalis from the great Spanish Kennel ‘Winterfrost’s’ owned by our dear friends Daniela Vidal and Antonio Llado. Pegaso or Muminek (from the Finnish book Muumi) is a dog who can be described as “one of a kind”, a self confident, strong minded male, certainly the boss of our pack, proud, brave and alert but, on the other hand, always the sweetest, gentlest, boy who when playing is always a puppy, a best friend for young dogs and the greatest babysitter for all puppies.
    
In the years that followed Pegaso achieved great success and is now one of the most titled dogs in Europe;
he is a Multi Best in Show Winner, International Champion, Spanish Champion (with CAC, Best Male, BOB, and res. BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW at the club Show under specialist judge Nancy C Russell), Gibraltar Champion, Luxembourg Champion, Polish Champion, Lithuanian Champion, German Champion, Danish Champion and Slovenian Champion. In 2006 he won Junior World Winner and Best Junior in Breed at World Dog Show in Poznan, Poland under specialist and world known judge Miguel A. Martinez and in 2010 (at his second World Dog Show) he was awarded the most prestigious title of World Winner and Best of Breed at World Dog Show in Herning, Denmark under specialist judge Henrik Soeborg. The same year at the European Dog Show in Slovenia he was awarded res. CAC and res. CACIB. In 2009 he was Lithuanian Club Winner under specialist judge Kim Leblanc, Lithuanian Winner, Polish Winner and Polish Club Winner. Other titles held by Pegaso are Junior Polish Champion, Junior Slovakian Champion, Junior Hungarian Champion, Junior Polish Winner, Junior Hungarian Club Winner, Berlin Winner, Polish Club Winner 2010
and Polish Winner 2010.
Pegaso is also very important stud dog, which show that his progeny can do well in both sport and shows. He is a father of World Winner, Junior European Winners, Junior World Winner, European Club Winner, International Champions, Champions of many countries and Best in Show Winners.
Pegaso has became a very special dog in our hearts not only as a very important stud and show dog for
our kennel but also, more importantly, it was through him we met and our relationship developed.
  
Jose is Spanish and has owned huskies since 1995, his first boy was a lovely red and white called Yacko. Yacko lived with us until very recently, he was always the most funny in the pack, always proud, always friendly with others, always brave, until his very last days as proud as a king, even if he didn’t have too much power anymore he behaved with other dogs as the most powerful in the world, yet with this he was also the sweetest one, the best “papa” to all puppies and young dogs – teaching them how to behave well. We spent many beautiful moments with Yacko, so many funny moments; he was the king of our house and of our hearts. When he came to Poland he adjusted immediately and was once again like a young puppy that just wanted to play; sadly he left us in 2009.
  
Jose’s second dog came to him through his great friendship with Antonio Llado and Daniela Vidal, this beautiful girl was Dathors Shanadu, Shany. Bred by Antonio, Shany was an amazing girl who you just loved to have around, until her last days the boss for all our females, strong and self confident she has a very special place in our hearts. Shany left us in 2008, just before we left for Poland – we will never forget you Shany.
  
In 1999 Jose registered his kennel ‘Winter Melody’ with the Spanish Kennel Club and the FCI, the first dog to join him after this was also from Antonio Llado and Daniela Vidal, a beautiful daughter of Arctic Blue Champagne on Ice and Sekene’s Winterfrost’s Tango – Winterfrost’s Angel of Glory. Angie replaced Shany as boss of our females she was a very self confident and strong girl, brave, powerful and very proud, also very smart always pushing the other dogs to do very bad things and then sitting still with a big smile on her face watching what they were doing :)
    
Angie was also the best mom ever, especially when her puppies were a little older, she was the greatest company always ready to play and teach them how to behave badly :)
Angie was also Pegaso’s best friend and his big love.
Angie was the first Siberian to win BEST IN SHOW in the prestigious and most important
Spanish show Madrid CACIB.
She is an International Champion, multi Best in Show winner, Spanish Champion and Polish Champion. In 2009 as a 9 year old lady she won 2x Best in Show, 2x res. Best in Show, 6 x Best Veteran in Show,
Res. Best Veteran in Specialty Show and Best Veteran in Specialty Show. Sadly, on the 22nd of November 2010 our beloved Angel left us to join Shany and Yacko over the rainbow bridge, Thank you Angie for all those wonderful days.
Angie was the mother of 3 litters, and from first one we kept her son - Winter Melody Talk About Me - Kevin.
He is a son of beautiful Ch. Winterfrost's Hakuna Matata.
    
Kevin – he is the biggest "puppy" in our team, the most crazy one, the most funny;
sometimes we think he doesn't have
a brain or if he does it must be very small ;) he still believes he is a little
puppy and still plays like one which you can easily
feel when he jumps on you ;)
He loves to play, he is powerful and dominant. He is also an escape artist "Houdini"
as there is no fence that he can't
pass ;) but normally he passes them just to show us that he can :).
In 2010 Kevin became a Polish Champion, he is also a Best in Show winner.
Our beloved Kevin passed away over the rainbow bridge in December 2011, thank you crazy boy for
letting us share our life with you, you are deeply missed not only by us but by all the pack :(
In 2008 Ewa joined Jose as official owners of the Winter Melody kennel name.
The same year a very special lady – Innisfree Fleur De Lis – Lily, joined our pack.
    
Even though she was 8 years old when she joined us her personality has changed a lot in her time with us, she is a funny girl who believes she is the most important in the world. Very elegant and proud but this doesn’t mean she does not do crazy things, oh yes she does! She knows very well how to do bad things including stealing food from very difficult places :) even when you think she can't for sure she will found a way :) she would do anything for a cookie or a cuddle, she is an amazing and special lady with an aristocratic character. Lily is an American Champion who we have shown a couple of times with very good results including being placed on the BIS veteran podium.
Lily have left us in January 2012, she was almost 13 years old, we loved her a lot and we miss her deply.
Lily is the mother of one litter in our kennel sired by Pegaso, we kept one puppy from this litter our wonderful
Lolita –
Winter Melody Double Trouble. Her name fits her perfectly – she is Trouble with a capital “T" :)
the craziest girl we have ever known. From the earliest days of her life she has surprised us with her antics, for example
at the age of just 3 weeks she got out of her whelping box while her brothers and mother were sleeping soundly
and started to explore our house.
    
She is crazy, curious, brave, smart and very hyper-active, she is like a bomb or dynamite :) always happy except when anyone
else wants to play with her daddy! Ever since she was a small puppy Lolita has been the best friend of Pegaso,
always at his side, ready to play with him, from her earliest days she would annoy him, jump on him and bite his neck.
Pegaso a great father patiently teaches her where her place is ;)
Lolita is not only a devil in an angels skin she is also a very important female for our kennel. Since young puppy she
proved her quality in 4 shows in puppy class she achieved- 2 x BIS Puppy and 2 x III BIS Puppy.
In 2009 she was Junior Lithuanian Club Winner, Best junior in Breed, Best of Breed, Best Junior in Specialty Show and Best in Specialty Show under specialist and world known judge Kim Leblanc. In the same year she was also Junior Polish Club Winner, Best Junior in Breed, Best of Breed, Best Junior in Specialty Show, Best of Nordic Sledge Dogs And Best in Specialty Show all this achieved under four different judges and V group specialists. She became Junior Polish Champion incredibly quickly completing her Junior Championship in just in 3 shows in two weekends. At the World Dog Show in Bratislava 2009, following her father footsteps, Lolita won Junior World Winner, BOB Junior and made final cut in BOG Junior. She has just started her adult career and she is already International Champion, Polish and Slovenian Champion, European Club Winner and Polish Winner. At European Dog Show 2010 she won champion class (22 entered females) and CAC she was the youngest female in this class, and she was awarded the res. CACIB, a day earlier at the European Club Show she won CAC, European Club Winner, Best of Breed and final 6 in the BISS.
Lolita have her first litter in 2011 it was "H" litter with USA.Ch Kristari's Rudolph Valentino - from which Winter Melody HERE COMES TROUBLE stays with us, Winter Melody HEARTBREAKER stays in coownership, Winter Melody HOT ON THE TOP join Winter Melody Miss Dynamite (Pegaso x Betty) in United Kingdom in Amical kennel of Caroline and Anthony, Winter Melody HALLUCINATION in Ukrain at Triumphant Beauty kennel with Anna and her family, Winter Melody HANKY PANKY in Russia with Diana and her family and Winter Melody HORMIGA ATOMICA will be going to New Zeland to Becky Stewart.
In December 2008 after a very hard and difficult time in our lives when Ewa became very seriously ill we decided to move
for a while,
from Majorca to her family in Poland, and after a while we decided to stay for a long while :).
Our lives have changed a lot, especially for Jose it was a really big change but we are both very happy with this.
In June 2009 our youngest addition joined our team – a beautiful red girl from a very beautiful country in Central America. Lancelot’s Winter Melody – Nikita – she came from Lancelot's, the kennel of our dear
friend Gerardo Salazar.
She is daughter of Kristari's Duke or Lancelot and Kristari's Pricilla Oveen King.
    
From the first moment she stole our hearts with her lovely temperament. Nikita is funny girl and the loudest in the pack;
we can say she is even a guard dog, as she will not let anybody strange enter our land without announcing this
to the whole village ;) she is good friend of Lolita and gets very jealous when she plays with others, she is friendly with everybody but also if she see possibilities she will quickly became dominant and try to get higher that she is ;).
Nikita is a really smart girl who knows well what she is worth.
Nikita started her show carrier winning Best Baby in Specialty Show in Lithuania under Kim Leblanc, at World Dog Show in Bratislava she won World Puppy Winner and Best Puppy In Breed.
She is a Junior Polish Champion and Polish Champion.
She is mom of our F litter and for sure she will be very important for future of our kennel.
In litter "F" she gave us some wonderful girls - Winter Melody FIRE N DESIRE which is owned and loved
by Sylvie Van Den Bogaert and Benny Van Gorp from Belgium, Winter Melody FAITH N HOPE which is owned and loved
by Juan Gomez Perez from Spain. We wish to them both wonderful future and lots of fun with thier wonderful owners.
In 2011 Winter Melody FIRE N DESIRE make us all very proud and have won European Junior Winner:)
Also in 2011 Nikita have her second litter "W" also sired by Pegaso, Winter Melody WILD THINGis living with Brenda and Wes in Silverfox kennel, Canada, Winter Melody WHICH WITCH IS WHICH lives with Sharon at Kristari Siberians, USA, Winter Melody WALKING IN MEMPHIS with Gerardo Salazar in Lancelot's in Costa Rica, Winter Melody WHERE'S WALLY goes to India to Sparta Kennel, Winter Melody WISH UPON A STAR join his friend Winter Melody UP TO GLORY (Pegaso x Angie) in South Africa in Winterthorn Kennel of Irma Goss, Winter
Melody WHITE DIAMOND is living in Finalnd with Mira and Janne.
In November 2009 our last addition join us. This very special girl arrive thanks to our friends Daniela Vidal,
Antonio Llado and Pedro Salva - Winterfrost's Betty Bop.
We already knew Betty very well; from puppy she stole our hearts with her crazy temperament. She is a daughter
of Kristari´s EJ O´MAINAKE and Winterfrost´s GINGER SNAP. Ginger was a litter sister of our Angie,
that's why we are more than happy to have her daughter with us.
    
Betty has been adapted very well into our pack. She is very crazy, and full of energy, you never know what she is
thinking or what she plans in her head ;) she is a funny girl and Kevin's best friend, as with Kevin we sometimes
think her brain doesn't exist ;) but than suddenly she will do something very intelligent :) She is smart and sometimes
thinks she is a male going after boys and helping them to mark our land :) she is really funny and sure we can't
be bored with her around. Betty had her first litter in 2011, she gave us 4 beautiful girls Winter Melody MIDNIGHT MADNESS
which is owned and loved by Natalia (Nord Heart) in Russia, Winter Melody MISS PERSONALITY which is owned and loved by Rebecca (Any Colour you Like) in Italy, Winter Melody MISS DYNAMITE which goes to United Kingdom to Amical kennel and finaly Winter Melody MILLION DOLLAR BABY which stays with us :)
2010 was for us very special year many of our dreams came true, our dogs did wonderful work in the rings
getting highest trophies at many shows, two litters of puppies arrived, but the most important for us was
birth of our little daughter - Alexandra.
  
Winter Melody MILLION DOLLAR BABY join us in 2011. She is daughter of Winterfrost's Betty Boop
and Winterfrost's Pegaso.
    
Baby is wonderful little girl, a bomb of energy with lots of character,
but at the same time she is very sweet and lovely, because of her crazy part quickly she became
very close friend of Nikita. Baby will be coowned and loved by our friend Lidia Pasternicka from Villarica kennel,
and she will live with her. Sure they will have lots of fun together :) Both our kennels will take care about her future.
In 2011 also join us very special boy from Australia, from well known UtopiaLand kennel of Doris Lan.

Apollo is the most awaited dog at Witer Melody. We have been waiting for him very long time.
We start looking for new
addition arround 3 years ago, finaly nearly a year ago Doris have shown us
beautiful light red - white baby boy which
stole our hearts with first look and we knew he is the ONE and must join our family. His home name -Apollo-
give additional meaning as the same as Pegaso his name comes from greek mitology.
All of us agree to left Apollo in
Australia for a while, and finally after some shows and fun in australian
rings he come home !!!
He is amazing, very sweet boy, with wonderful temperament and character, he already meat all of his four legged family and
makes some friendship :) He is full of energy and funny boy, very curiose of everything and very brave, he is very
sweet with other dogs but sure he try to make his position from very beginning :)

Apollo was shown in Australia and get Baby Puppy in Show, Multiple Baby Puppy in Group, as a young puppy he also got
couple of times reserve CC.
In 2011 we didn't attend many shows, but still we got some wonderful results, but the most important we got some fantastic
litters. Winter Melody Double Trouble was bred to world known and very important dog
in USA - Ch. Kristari's Rudolph Valentino - and she give us wonderful litter of 6 beautiful puppies.
From which we have keept a girl Winter Melody HERE COMES TROUBLE and a boy in coownership

Winter Melody HERE COMES TROUBLE - Layla
Is a beautiful black - silver - white little girl and as her mother fits perfectly her name - she is a real "Here Comes Trouble".
Full of energy, always first a great signer ;) she is a big smile in our pack, always happy to make a big jump and give lots of kisses, friendly with everyone but especialy Apollo which is her crazy plays best buddy :)
    
Winter Melody HEARTBREAKER - Rudolf
Rudolf was second puppy from our "H" litter which we keept. He is coowned and loved by Sylwia Goszka (Sache's Dream) and is living with her and all her wonderful family. Rudolf is beautiful siver white boy which also fits his name perfect is just to get inlove with him. Both our kennels are sure he will do us very proud soon :)
    
In December 2011 taking two our pupps from our "W" litter - Winter Melody WALKING IN MEMPHIS and Winter Melody WHICH WITCH IS WHICH - Ewa visit Sharon and Monica at Kristari Siberians in USA, she have spend some wonderful time there, see many beautiful dogs, get some unforgettable memories and also finally met in person Nikita's breeder Gerardo Salazar from Lancelot's Siberians.
During her visit Ewa fall inlove in another Jose :) this time in 4 - legged one - Kristari's Jose Cuervo -
and after long travel he haved back with her to join our family.
    
Kristari's Jose Cuervo - Jose - is a son of beautiful American and Canadian Champion Kristari's JUST BUMMIN and Kristari's TEQUILA CHASER. Both of his parents and also some of his family Ewa have a pleasure to see during her visit.
He get really well into our pack and get many new friends in very quick time. He is wonderful boy with very sweet character, quite similar to Pegaso in this way, love to play and run, always friendly with everybody, but also know how to get what he need ;) he loves attention and he knows how to get it by giving lots and lots of kisses :)

WINTER MELODY LA FURIA ROJA - Carmelita - is a singelton puppy from our "L" litter.
Daughter of Ch. USA Kristari's HEART BREAKER (Ch. Innisfree's Chips Ahoy x Ch. Innisfree's Avalon O'Kristari) and our Lancelot's Winter Melody (Ch. Kristari's Duke O Lancelot x Kristari's Pricilla Oveen King).
Of cours she had to stay in the family :) and so she is new family member.
Carmelita is coowned by us and Sylwia Goszka and living with her friend Winter Melody Heartbreaker.
we are sure she is going to do us proud soon :)
    
In january 2013 another puppy stayed with us, we just couldn't resist him
WINTER MELODY TROUBLE MAKER - Oso - iComes from our T litter sired by Utopialand Truth N Power and Winter Melody Double Trouble. When our "T" litter comes to this world, every week we have been waching this boy and just couldn't resist the impresion he is so similar to his grandfather Pegaso, not only from the way he looks but most of it from the character and temperament. He is lovely boy with very sweet personality. We are sure he will do us very proud soon :)

We are located in small village 40 km from Poznan, Poland. We are a small family based Siberian Husky kennel, currently
we own 8 Siberians - show/breeding dogs living with us: Winterfrost's Pegaso, Kristari's Jose Cuervo, Utopialand Truth N Power, Winter Melody Double Trouble, Winter Melody Here Comes Trouble, Winterfrost's Betty Boop, Lancelot's Winter Melody plus one sweet "couch potato"
Chocolate Negress Nitor Nivalis.
We also coown two other dogs - Winter Melody Million Dollar Baby with Lidia Pasternicka from Villarica kennel and Winter Melody Heartbreaker with Sylwia Goszka from Sachem's Dream. Baby and Rudolf lives with their coowners.
  
Our dogs live as a harmonious pack all together, during the day they spend their time on digging, running and playing in our fenced yard (21.000m2). We loves to take them on long walks and they loves to work as a sled dogs. All our dogs are also full family members and our true friends we spend all our free time with them. We never sell our adult dogs or rent them to other kennels, our dogs are our family and when they arrive to us they are loved and cared and stay with us until their last days.
  
In Winter Melody we have a limited breeding program and always do our best to produce puppies of the best Quality in exterior health and temperament. We try to breed from well considered combinations. We follow the breed standard to improve type, movement, expression, health and temperament. We do not breed for coat colors or eye colors. The puppies in our kennel brought up at home and socialized with adults, children and dogs. We look very carefully at all potential homes
for our puppies and you will never find a Winter Melody dog in puppy factory kennels,
or in kennels were quantity its more important than quality.
All our breeding dogs hold current clear eye certifications, and have their hips tested and cleared.
In 2011 we have import some frozen semen from world known dogs and we hope it will bring us some amazing
results in nearest future.
  
  
Siberians are amazing breed but a breed not for everyone, we strongly advise all future owners to learn a lot before decide to purchase a Siberian, true is that when for a first time you get a Siberian there are only two ways either you will fall in love with the breed and you will not stop with just one or you will never make that mistake again.
So please think before you purchase a Siberian as it’s not a dog for everyone.

only on shows but also out of them.
So We can't end that part without giving thanks to all our friends for thier friendship, support and help,
sure without you shows and this part of dogs world wouldnt be so fun.
